Welcome to The Ecology Coalition of Morgan County in West Virginia (eCo)!

The Ecology Coalition organized to educate and promote sustainable and responsible practices to protect our environment.

This includes:

• Supoorting the development of a permanent recycling center for Morgan County. (Please see our Recycling page for more details and to find out how you can help). Or download a brochure.
  
• Attracting Green businesses.
  
• Promoting and provide means for Ecotourism in Morgan County.
• Finding ways to diversify our local economy.
  
• Educating residents and visitors about safe environmental practices.
• Partnering with other eCo minded organizations to foster community cooperation.
  

Ecology Coalition's Annual Events

Redbud Weekend  happens in April each year, when the redbuds are in bloom. It features a driving tour around Morgan County, designed for viewing the beauty of the Redbuds with stops along the way for hands-on experience with environmental practices. Click here for the Map. Ravishing Raptors Weekend is held annually in September during the fall bird migrations. It falls near the annual Migratory Bird Day.  Events with an avian theme are presented, as well as many opportunities to see and learn about our local birds.

Other events in which the Ecology Coalition participates:

• Morgan County Fair - eCo participates with a booth each year at this event.
• Apple Butter Festival - eCo has a booth each year.
• West Virginia Make It Shine Cleanup - each year eCo picks a spot in the county to clean up, removing trash.
